About the Role

As a Accounting Assistant, you’ll be part of a dynamic team responsible for executing various finance operations-related tasks, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, BIR 2307 document printing, and scanning proofs of payment. You'll work closely with the rest of Finance and Accounting to support the day-to-day operations and contribute to our mission of providing affordable healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data.
  • Prepare payments for approval, ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Communicate with relevant suppliers to address payment queries; verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling provider accounts and reviewing monthly reports.
  • Process provider, regulatory (e.g. BIR 2307 filing), and other payables, ensuring digitalized and organized records.
  • Understand and manage expense accounts and cost centers effectively to support budget preparation and cost analysis.
  • Update financial records and prepare daily transactions, balance sheets, and bank statement reconciliations.
  • Participate in quarterly and annual audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.

Qualifications

  • Must be willing to work onsite in Ortigas, Pasig
  • Graduate of Finance, Accounting or any related course
  • At least two (2) years of experience as a Finance Assistant, Finance Officer, or in a similar role
  • Experience in handling bookkeeping and following accounting best practices
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (creating spreadsheets and using functions), and adaptable to other productivity tools
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Xero)
  • Organizational and time-management skills
  • High attention to detail, with an ability to spot numerical errors
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of and experience in Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs), healthcare, insurance, or financial services industry, is a plus
